and Gene Lescavage own Nanc-C Persians located in Linglestown, Pennsylvania
(20 minutes from Harrisburg, the capitol of PA). We have been breeding
and showing Persians in CFA since 1993. We designed our new home around
the cats, literally. When we built our new home we customized the plans
to include a first floor master bedroom. Our lot has an exposed basement
on the side of the house where the master bedroom is located. (Photo)
The exposed area of the basement is where our Cattery is located.
The room is 26' by 12' with 3 windows and french doors which provides lots
of light and easy access for taking the pens out on the patio to be washed
and disinfected. The Cattery is decorated in black and white and is both
centrally air conditioned and heated. Plus, just to make sure the kitties
are comfortable (maybe mom too when looking after the kids) there are ceiling
fans for additional ventilation and an air purifier. Everything is completely
washable which allows for the kitties to always have a clean area in which
to live. On the second floor of our home is a loft. In the loft kittening
pens are situated for the moms that are going to deliver. The moms and
kittens reside in the loft until the kittens are 6 to 7 weeks of age. Then
the moms and kittens are allowed to run the house to become socialized
to things like the dishwasher, stairs, location of litter box, etc., all
the things necessary to socialize and develop their loving personalities.
The moms are then returned to the Cattery and the kittens remain in the
house until they are either sold as pets or prepared for a show career.

Lescavage parents both work full-time. They work very hard at this hobby
of breeding and showing Persians and to provide a loving, clean and proper
environment for the kitties. No wonder it takes Dad Lescavage so long to
complete his chores in the Cattery, he's very busy visiting all his kids.
Mom Lescavage spends every free minute bathing, shaving, and helping to
birth the new kittens. Luckily the vet (Dr. Clements) is only a phone call
away if the need arises for help with the birth. All parents and new cats
that are introduced into the Lescavage household are thoroughly vet checked,
tested for FeLV/FIV and FIP. Regular inoculations are given along with
a proper diet and occasion refresher lessons in "Good" kitty behavior.
Friends and people who come to visit wonder how we keep track of them all
and I say to them, "would you forget the names of your kids?" Of course
they wouldn't, and neither do we. All our kittens are sold with a health
guarantee and up-to-date vaccinations and worming. So if you would like
a bundle of love to add to your family and feel you are up to the responsibility,
give us a call. We are particular about the homes our kittens and adult
kitties live in. Can you measure up? Pet kittens must be neutered or spayed.
Only the best are sold with breeding rights to responsible breeders/show
homes. We are willing to ship when necessary but you are always welcome
to come see our "Kids" in person if you like.
